A six-night group departure to Bhutan, 2 to 8 October 2026. Bagdogra to Bagdogra, travelling with a small group of like-minded people. Flights booked separately.

Day-by-day itinerary

    Bagdogra → Phuentsholing (Stay in Phuentsholing)

    Meet the group at Bagdogra and begin the road journey to Phuentsholing, Bhutan’s gateway town. Complete the group arrival process, settle into the hotel and get to know the group over dinner.

    Phuentsholing → Thimphu (Stay in Thimphu)

    After breakfast and permit formalities, the mountains properly begin. Drive to Thimphu with stops at Gedu Stupa and Wangkha Waterfall, then take an easy evening walk around the Clock Tower area.

    Thimphu & Punakha sightseeing (Stay in Thimphu)

    Explore Thimphu’s Takin Preserve and Buddha Point before crossing scenic Dochula Pass towards Punakha. Visit Punakha Dzong and the Suspension Bridge, then return to Thimphu for the night.

    Thimphu → Paro (Stay in Paro)

    Drive to Paro and explore its cultural landmarks: the National Museum area, Kyichu Lhakhang and a view of Rinpung Dzong. The evening is for a relaxed walk around Paro town.

    Tiger’s Nest Monastery (Stay in Paro)

    Today is dedicated to Taktsang Monastery, the Tiger’s Nest. The hike is approximately 6.4 km and generally takes 6 to 7 hours in total, depending on pace and weather. This is the big Bhutan day.

    Paro → Phuentsholing (Stay in Phuentsholing)

    After breakfast, begin the return drive to Phuentsholing. Stop at the Paro Airport viewpoint before continuing through Bhutan’s mountain roads and returning to the gateway town.

    Phuentsholing → Bagdogra

    After breakfast, drive back to Bagdogra for the group drop. Please choose a departure flight after 3:00 PM so the group transfer remains comfortable.
